The Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States

Today is an historic moment in the history of our country as we inaugurate Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States.  Regardless of your personal political leanings it cannot be questioned that this man has infused the public with a new energy and new enthusiasm. I can only hope that expectations have not risen so high that we do not allow him the time and support he will need to address many of the challenging issues we face in the world and at home.

In the MD Suburbs of DC, the atmosphere is electric with anticipation.  The crowds have been gathering on the National Mall since the initial Inaugural Concert – We Are One on Saturday.  Who knows how many people will actually fill the space today. Estimates run from 1.5 million to 3 million people.  That’s a lot of people!
