A Very Merry Christmas

Christmas scene with tree and fireplaceIt’s Christmas Even and the Missus and I are getting ready for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner with friends at a local Thai restaurant in beautiful Greenbelt. It’s something we’ve been doing for years.

We all have our Christmas traditions. Ours includes this Christmas Eve dinner. It also includes a Christmas Day visit with some friends up Damascus way. Friends I’ve known since high school. We’ve been through a lot. They’ve gone through four kids and are now (almost) empty nesters. That’s a long time.

Then it’s off to the Missuses’ side of the family over in the Mt. Vernon section of Alexandria. It’s not the entire side of her family which is quite large and a little bit far flung but enough of the family is around the area to make the gathering a tradition.

Lots of food and conviviality. Some presents being exchanged for the kids that are still kids.

Then it’s count down to 2015.

Hey, the fun never stops.

I hope you had a great Christmas with lots of good food, good fun and good fellowship whether it’s with family or friends.
